Not sure about the wording “God is not interested in numbers”. I realise that God isn’t interested in numbers for the sake of the number, but we also need to realise that behind every single number is a soul. God wants as many people as possible to know him and come to him, so from that perspective numbers are very important, but I agree that we shouldn’t get focussed on the numbers ourselves. And, of course, any growth in our church should come as a result of our own mission work, and not just people ‘poached’ from other churches!
