Poetry In Motion..

Good evening readers. I hope you are having a great Wednesday. Here lately, I have been looking through some of my old stuff. This normally happens when I can’t sleep at night, and I have nothing better to do. This has been happening off and on for the last month or so.

While looking through some stuff, I came across a journal of some poetry I used to write.

I thought I would share with you the first poem I ever wrote. I would love to know what you think of it.

Questions.. by Tom McDaniel. written 11/14/02©

Sitting alone in my dark room at night,

I occasionally listen to those voices playing with my emotions,

And I start to cry.

Sometimes they make me my thoughts take flight,

Usually asking me questions,

Beginning with the single word; why?

Why did I do this?

Why didn’t I do that?

But lately it’s the meaning of life,

That has crossed the white line,

And stepped up to bat.

Is it love,success,or fame?

Only the man upstairs has a plan for the outcome of your game.

Through reading the Bible and going to church,

Praising HIM makes my life have worth.

So if your thoughts have ever strayed that way,

Pick up your Bible and learn to pray,

Because without Jesus Christ,

Your life will be a game you don’t wanna play

So what do you think?

Do you write poetry? If so, do you share it with others?

Until next time readers, God Bless!

Get Out Of My Way!

I will be the first to admit it, that I suffer from road rage. I think everyone does. At what extent does being angry on the road become a real problem? Well, I don’t have the answer to that. Bad driving is a huge pet peeve of mine. But there is something even worse.

Christian people who have road rage. What really irritates me is the person that has the “Jesus fish” symbol, or even a Christian bumper sticker, that gets so enraged that then cuss at you or even flip you off, etc.. SERIOUSLY? Aren’t we as Christians supposed to set the example for other people? This really puts the hypocrite word out there doesn’t it?

I wanna hear about some of your driving experiences. What irritates you while you are driving?

Until next time readers, God Bless!
