Babies Babies Everywhere!

Good afternoon everyone! I hope everyone is having a great day. I am not feeling the best in the world today. So while I had some time, I thought I would blog.

You are probably wondering why I am blogging about babies today. Are me and my wife having a baby? No, but a lot of people around us have had kids recently/ are currently pregnant.

Most of these people are people who my wife and know from church or from work. All of these kids are really adorable. I know. It is weird to hear/read a man say that kids are adorable. Well… Sorry, I really like kids. I would really like to have one one day.

I guess the question I am putting out there for you guys to give me some feedback on is…

Should I be jealous of these other people?

I know God has His own timing on things, but it just seems that everyone around us is having one, and my wife and I are left out.

I also want to make it clear that I don’t want to have a child just because everyone else it. I am just ready in this point of my life to start that family.

So, as I mentioned above, I would like your input.

Until next time readers, God Bless!

  1. Its normal to be jealous and when you are mentally “ready”
it seems to be that much harder to accept that your time will
come….eventually. We lost a baby two years ago and shortly after
that everyone around me got pregnant. It was hard being around
those people even though i was exstastic for them. I struggled to
see God’s reason for not allowing us to parent that child here on
Earth but looking back I am so glad He protected us because it just
was bad timing. That baby is having the time of it’s life in Heaven
and I am sure that I will one day meet that child. Most don’t want
to hear “your time will come” but God knows what he is doing. He is
preparing you both and preparing your hearts, minds and finances
:0) for what will be the hardest, selfless, and most joyous thing
you do next to marriage. Being a parent is something that takes so
much effort and giving up of yourself and what you want. Give it
time and just remember this is just a season that He is using to
prepare you for the next step in life.

  2. Hi, I love Jackie’s comment – about God preparing you. That is a very positive way to look at this waiting time … instead of what you don’t have, look at what He is doing in your life. Trust that God is working in your life in the perfect way and perfect timing. Trust Him to fulfill your desires in the perfect way that will truly fulfill.
