Pull The Plug!

Hello again readers! I hope ou are doing great today!

Yesterday at my church (NorthChurch.tv), we celebrated our 10 year anniversary. The sermon was AMAZING! I always like hearing Pastor Rodney speak. Below is a picture of what the outside of the church looked like.

I kind of wanted to touch on what was talked about. I have considered myself a Christian since 1998. There have been times where I was on fire for God, and following in His steps. There have also been times where I was very distant from God, and could care less about what He wanted for my life.

In the sermon yesterday, the biggest thing that got me was the analogy that my Pastor mentioned about life support and death. Death is apart of life. There is no stopping it. You, myself, and everyone that exists will die. What a lot of Christians don’t grasp, is that when we become a Christian, we have to spiritually die, before we physically die.

What do I mean by that? Basically, when you become a Christian, your life should be transformed. You are a new person. The things you do should be radically different now that you have Jesus in your life. Of course, like myself, there will be struggles. I guess what I and a lot of us need to do is… Pull The Plug! Disconnect from our old life and die spiritually. Until we do so, we will never know the true greatness that God has in store for us.

Are you ready to pull the plug?? I am.

Until next time readers, God Bless!

In The Closet…

Good morning readers! I hope all of you are doing well today.

Today I wanted to talk about closets. You are probably thinking to yourself.. Why?

Well I don’t really want to talk about the actual physical closet that you see pictured here. I want to talk about your spiritual/ emotional closet. Is it nice and neat like this one, or is it not so organized? Most of us would like to think we are like the organized closet, but in fact most of us are not.

The majority of us have past baggage, current issues, etc.., that haunt us everyday. We aren’t as together as we want to be. Don’t worry though. There is good news!

The good news is that we can take all those issues to a loving God, that will help us through all of the pain. He loves us no matter where we are in life, or what we have done. He will help us re-organize our closet, and make it clean again.

Questions I would like to leave you with today:

1) What does your closet look like?

2) Is Christ helping clean your closet up?

Until next time readers, God Bless!

Are You… Lost??

Hello readers! The popular tv show Lost starts its final season tonight. I haven’t seen any episodes, but from what I have heard, it is a good show. The focus of this post is not about what is going on on tv tonight, but what is going on in the world around us and even what is going on in our own backyard.

There are so many people in this world that are considered to be “lost” or ” un-saved”. I can’t even fathom how big of a number it is. This is either by a decision to not follow Christ, or just simply not even having the opportunity to know Him.

The largest group of people who haven’t had the opportunity to know Him fall into what the church likes to call the  10/40 window. Most of the people groups still unreached by the gospel live in places stretching across the maps of northern Africa and Asia. For more information on the 10/40 window click here.

Now I would like to turn attention to an even more important topic.. Are you… Lost?

Here in the United States, most people have heard about the man named Jesus. But some of them don’t have a relationship with Him. Do you have a relationship with the Son of God? If not, here is some information on how you can establish that relationship.

The message of the Bible is abundantly clear. We have all sinned against God (Romans 3:23). Because of our sin, we deserve to be eternally separated from God (Romans 6:23). Because of His love for us (John 3:16), God took on human form and died in our place, taking the punishment that we deserve (Romans 5:8; 2 Cor. 5:21). God promises forgiveness of sins and eternal life in heaven to all who receive, by grace through faith, Jesus Christ as Savior (John 1:12; 3:16; 5:24; Acts 16:31).

If you would like to become a Christian, please pray this prayer with me.

Lord, I know I am a sinner. I am coming to you to repent of my sins. I believe that you sent your one and only Son to Earth, He died, and arose on the 3rd day. I am truly grateful for your love. Please come into me now and make me new.

In Your Name I Pray… Amen.

Until next time readers, God Bless!
